There's a fruit store on our street
It's run by a Greek.
And he keeps good things to eat
But you should hear him speak!
When you ask him anything, he never answers "no".
He just "yes"es you to death, and as he takes your dough
He tells you
"Yes, we have no bananas
We have-a no bananas today.
We've string beans, and onions
Cabbageses, and scallions,
And all sorts of fruit and say
We have an old fashioned to-mah-to
A Long Island po-tah-to
But yes, we have no bananas.
We have no bananas today.

Long story short.....
Agent told Client I was starting this Monday coming, as of yesterday I still didn't have a set of completed checks or even a contract.
Told this to the client (had an informal chat with them as they started to bring me up to speed), offer now withdrawn as I told them I wouldn't be able to start until after half term on Monday 4th.
Looks like I might have dodged a bullet with this one, but hey ho back to looking for work I go!

Boomish!
Not the ideal contract, but a decent rate to compensate 4 days a week in London, although made it clear I want a plan to get it down to three days a week once the bedding in period is over.
Have to go through SC (so I guess it's a provisional boom) so will delay it a couple of weeksLast edited by SimonMac; 16 October 2019, 10:12.Tags: None
