In some countries it's rather normal for employers to offer and advance on the next month salary. But it's interest free and not done for profit, by a 3rd party provider.
It only goes to show that an employer is happy to threat his employees as a revenue stream. Definitely not a workplace benefit/perk in my books.

Maybe i am doing it wrong but... apart from mentioning that you "share company values" is the payday loan company policy something that you should enquire?

No - these are bad and do not help people who are in debt.
A responsible employer would use the various agencies etc who help people get out of debt and manage their money better.
However sadly a lot of employers would treat their staff like slaves if they could get away with it so the principle that they may put effort into helping employees is flawed.

Just heard it’s been removed as Indians (95%+) stopped using after they visited the food bank and were abused for being Pakistani
As for myself, i am not a big fan of charity, especially when there is a third party involved.Last edited by GigiBronz; 8 October 2019, 22:54.

No one is talking about going permie. It's a last ditch solution for some.
And no, even if I did I would never consider anything like this. Highly skilled ex contractors should not be touching payday loans.
