Seems few are taking the potential for an extinction level asteroid impact as a real threat. No 'star wars' style defence system available yet, like Reagan wanted (to protect from rusky nukes). It's been 66 million years since the last one that did for the dinosaurs, so yeah, meh, not our problem. Unless we get unlucky...
