Ah right. Well they had code words and weren't taken too seriously (although they did evacuate usually) unless the code word was used. My missus and her ex used to run the Atlantic Tower in Liverpool, they would get 1 call a month. They eventually tracked it down to a Union bod.

Can only find the M62 coach bomb, where the obvious target was the off duty soldiers.

What always puzzled me in the 1970s was quite what interested the IRA in Rochdale's ABC Cinema!Originally posted by scooterscot View PostYou still did not answer the question.
When you’re living in a war torn country, the wars are mentioned. The only conflicts I remember growing up were those of the IRA, which were mostly England targets anyway.

Not understanding my reply is not the same as me not answering the question.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostYou still did not answer the question.

By your logic then, the entirety of the video's arguments for boomers / Gen Xers is also not relevant for you, so why bother posting it?

You're all over the place. If it doesn't matter where in the world you are, then the examples I gave are valid.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostThe guy is Iranian. It does not matter where in the world you are. Tough time good times, it is the same the world over.
You din't answer my question.
If it does matter whether or not those conflicts impact the UK, then apply your same logic to the other examples he gives (eg Rodney King, etc).
You (and he) are inconsistent.

Are Millennials lazy?
Because it’s an American-centric video?Originally posted by scooterscot View PostHow was anyone living in the UK affected by those conflicts?!
Don't recall dousing the lights to avoid oncoming bombers or running out to the Morrison shelter.
Now apply your analysis above to the other generations and impacts listed in the video.

That was my point. He’s picked out various wars and hardships that other generations have endured, but fails to list those between 1980 and 2000. Falklands, Beirut, Iran-Contra, first Gulf War, etc.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostYou really need to watch the reminder, he's not blaming anyone as you assume.
Milennials have not had to endure tough times but that does not mean they're at fault.
Flawed analysis to start with.
