Really? on 5k miles/ year, that's over 52p/ mile leasing cost.

2/3 year deals, nothing too grand.
For lowest prices, check out Nationwide Leasing Nationwide Vehicle Contracts: Vehicle Leasing UK Specialists

They do 'hot' leasing deals and generally, are the cheapest on the net. Obviously others may beat them from time to time.

With a lease it is important to compare like with like. Some leases give a low headline monthly price but will frequently be based on a 6 or even 9 month down payment as opposed to 3 months.

If you're not wedded to a particular make and model, some of the 'hot' deals are very good. You may even find cheaper deals on a 12 month or 2 year lease at advantageous rates when a manufacturer wants to boost the profile of certain models or, just move on surplus factory stock.

I didn't know about the decoration. Wow.

How much of a deposit can you afford? Not a lot at the moment for certain reasons and so lease helps me get round that. Monthly payments are less of a constraint
Is there a reason for buying new? Cost and peace of mind around reliability - I'm not a car boff and so no good with mechanics. With a second hand car APRs are higher, with new PCP you need to put down a larger deposit which I don't have
Are you likely to change the car when the lease is up (or before) - or might you keep it a bit longer?I wouldn't change it before the lease is up but happy to when it is
Thanks for tidying for duplicated posts. I have answered above in red.
