I first encountered the phrase in 2008 (the first time I had a gig in banking that covered the festive season)

End of year BOOMsville
Yep, have been offered a new 6 month contract starting early December, which will take me through to June.
Includes 2 weeks company Xmas furlough + honouring some prearranged days off in December.
Only slight downer is me having to go from current contract straight into this new one, which I have never had to do before.
However I'm happy with that
