Stop calling themselves Marines and perhaps they'll try harder to keep their aircraft in the air.

Oooooorah, Gunny, the fecking wings just fell off.
That lot managed to crash AV8Bs with monotonous regularity.

They have a strong tendency to dump MV22's on a regular basis too...........

One of the hazards of flying, ultimately this invisible force we call Gravity will return you to terra firma, or not so terra firma in the case of landing on water.Originally posted by DoctorStrangelove View PostUS F-35 stealth fighter crashes for first time in history of programme
Oh dear, how sad, never mind.
Remind me again how many of these things are we buying?
I think most aircraft have crashed at least once in their flying history for one reason or another. A military aircraft crash is more likely than a commercial aircraft due to the likelihood of someone firing 'stuff' at you.
It is a sophisticated aircraft and probably has the unpowered aerodynamics of a bumble bee. Hence any software error/glitch could cause it to do something the pilot wasn't expecting/requesting. Only if they start to crash on a regular basis is I likely to be a cause for concern.
