What is your beef with T5? I quite like it. I pop to Plane Food and / or the lounge (BAEC Silver means I always get access and my Platinum Amex gets me into the other one if I fancy a change of scenery). I tend to fly from A gates though, can't say I've experienced the doldrums of B and C...
EDIT: but I do agree the lounge options in T3 are way better - you can do a veritable lounge crawl if you're flying something other than pleb class

Pooper uses it? I am going to use Farnborough in future.Originally posted by Mordac View PostUnfortunately you generally need to be a member of a certain German family to fly from Northolt...

There's far worse out there. The lounges are nice, but if you're travelling pleb class, I admit it's not all that. Put it on expenses (difficult if your name is Scooty) and it's quite a pleasure, but otherwise it's a tad shambolic. The first time I travelled out of T5 was just after it opened, and it was a bit crap, but recently it's quite a lot better. T3 would be my choice, but you need to be going to the right place.Originally posted by Paddy View PostWho the f*** designed T5? What an absolute mess, badly designed.

Which is where the money is for the airport operator, or at least it was when I was contracting for BAA in the late 90s.Originally posted by scooterscot View PostFeels like a glorified shopping centre than a airport terminal.
Usually I retreat to wagamama until it's time.

It's in the Berlin Brandenburg category of airport fails, having exceeded the epic fail of even Berlin Schönefeld.
