Looking directly at the sun* now without protection just fine...Originally posted by GJABS View PostDon't look directly at the sun without protection.
(Un)fortunately, the good-old British climate has afforded me some excellent natural protection - in the form of big arse clouds.
* or roughly where I think the sun is

The Great American Eclipse
Is happening today, with the first penumbral shadow of the moon hitting the west coast right now.
Total eclipse starts on the west coast at 18:17 UK time, sweeping eastward in a narrow path across the continental USA to the east coast at 19:47
A very minor partial eclipse (4%) is visible from London, from 19:40 to 20:15 (sunset). Don't look directly at the sun without protection. Ask Brillopad for some.
