Does it really make sense to base assumptions about a Corbyn government on the record of fairly centrist Labour governments? I wouldn't be worried about a Labour victory if was to give us Harold Wilson 2 as the next PM.
I also wonder to what extent some figures add up when you take account of leads and lags in the economy. Inflation or expenditure in the first few years of any government can be related to policies of the previous administration. Policies can take a long time to take effect. Inflation hit its peak under Thatcher but it was rocketing before she took power and was hardly going to drop straight away.

I don't think it matters who comes to power and what their economic policy is because the biggest threat to the economy is Brexit.
Compared to the contraction that's going to happen, a few billion here and there isn't going to make much difference.

If Corbyn & co took control then, based on their boasts and commitments, the deficit would rapidly spin out of control in a spiral of extravagant madness.

It would be better and more accurate to say socialists "SOON" run out of other peoples' money.

The real problem with socialism is that there are always other people with the money...
