    As a kid I saw that and had no idea what it was... and obviously didn't dare ask my parents anything involving the "S word"

    I still don't know what it is though I assume it's just for when you want to give your big board a good waxing before getting it wet...

    I've never been to Newquay or knew they had the shop but there's been one in St. Ives since the late 80s at least... as a little kids we went there every year on holiday to stay in a beach-front apartment and I always wanted a shirt but was always fobbed off.

    My wife got me a T-shirt for my birthday this year after we toured Cornwall last summer and I mentioned it!

    Well, there were at least two; one at the bottom of the manor car park ramp, opposite corner of the crossroads and the other was up near the harbour.
