Not really. I simply suggested, in response to your suggestion that I don't know what I'm talking about, that in fact, it is you who is ignorant.Originally posted by Churchill View Post...Bloody hell, this is like chess!
This is evidenced by your apparent belief that in chess you get three moves to my one.

So your answer although you believe it to be definitive, is merely obfuscation.Originally posted by NotAllThere View PostMaybe I can help the hard-of-thinking. The Koran contains doctrine and historical accounts. Some of the texts quoted are from historical accounts - i.e. so perhaps quoting what Mohammed said in one particular instance in one particular context, rather than a "Thou shalt kill" kind of thing.
Of course, it depends on which version of the Koran... and there is more than one, although most Muslims will deny it.

Or even go to the same mosque. They like to think they're better than Christians in that they don't have denominations. Fact is, is one mosque there can be fifteen or more different denominations - depends who's interpretation of the Koran they follow.Originally posted by SueEllen View Post... Which Muslim "community" are you talking about?Originally posted by Paddy View PostThe first reaction from the muslim community is always that the perpetrator acted on his own and he was not a real muslim. Mohamed Lahouaiej worked as a delivery driver and lived in a virtual squat however, he managed to send 100,000 euros to relatives in Tunisia a couple of days before the attack. Obviously he did not act alone.
Unlike Catholicism, but like Protestantism, Islam has many sects and denominations. Therefore 3 individuals of the same gender who live in the same building can believe completely different things, go to completely different Mosques and never socialise together. So how are they the same community?
One neighbour said not only was he unfriendly and refuse to talk to her but he drank alcohol, and another person stated he smoked during Ramadan. Why would you presume someone like that is a practising Muslim when they are openly doing things that go against Islamic practises? Also does it mean that neighbours who don't want to talk to you in a city are all terrorists?

At the moment it seems the French are struggling to prove he was part of IS.
He was a total fruit cake though.
All terrorists are mentally disturbed, and therefore it is easy to follow the words in the Koran without question.
Quran (9:5) - "So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them.”
Quran (2:191-193) - "And kill them wherever you find them, and turn them out from where they have turned you out.”
Quran (3:151) - "Soon shall we cast terror into the hearts of the Unbelievers, for that they joined companions with Allah, for which He had sent no authority".
The problems can only be resolved by the moderate muslims but they are unwilling to question the word of Allah.
