Mr Housego questioned whether Mr Blacker might have begun to ‘believe in his own propaganda’, adding: ‘Some people have the capacity to believe to be what they wish to be.’
Mr Levey replied: ‘If you were to find that when he made those statements and he genuinely believes he that he has a degree from Oxford, that he was so deluded, then yes, I can see how that might not be dishonest.’
