Direct democracy. A few thousand citizens' signatures on a petition and you get a referendum. It does mean voting every other week and that I should have bought shares in the political poster printing companies...

Who has almost no power - the Monarch can technically refuse to grant Royal Assent, but the last Monarch to do so was Queen Anne. In about 1707. What ? You mean the tug boats won't be towing the UK away en masse after Brexit ? However, since 1999, we’ve been on the losing side 56 times: Facts behind the claims: UK influence – UK in a changing Europe in the EU’s Council. What Boris doesn’t say is how many times we’ve been on the winning side, 2,466 times: Facts behind the claims: UK influence – UK in a changing Europe. 2,466 to 56 is a good score in any sport.
