We still pay for babysitters - although the twins are 14..

Its partly to have someone more sensible in the house but also to referee and cause maximum embarrassment for them when they go to Rangers (our default babysitter is 18 and also goes)....

Yes up to the second they get upset - then its neglect....

Unfortunately if the teenagers want a decent standard of living they will need to apply even more pressure to themselves. But yes school aren't great at supporting them.

I blame the relentless pressure put on children to achieve high grades so that school can boast about how well it does in exams.

You can always outsource it to Bobcare. They'll send you a 'qualified' baby sitter for the half the price of your current one, and she'll always do the needful with your kid
