I really doubt contents insurance will cover this. It was negligence which caused the damage isnt it ?
I remember an office getting flooded because someone forgot to close the tap, insurance claim failed.

I have this vague recollection that if you were not actually negligent you aren't liable and the other offices should claim off their insurance. But I am neither lawyer nor insurer so really need someone who can say with certainty.
