It’s your life / risk – generally as long as the asbestos is not broken or disturbed (which cause the fibres to become air borne) you will be fine
As for the weekend It’s going to be cold so I plan on getting home putting on the heating & leaving it on until Monday.
So catching up on some leather projects, reading & playing a bit of WoW should be a nice quiet one

(As the next three evenings are not designated "dry nights" I shall be celebrating with beer).
In addition to that, tonight I'm hoping to watch the concluding episodes of Making a Murderer which has been staggeringly good.
Saturday me and the missus are living the dream by hitting the hills with the local rambling group.
Sunday we will be wrapping up against the cold and cycling 40 miles - which will be our longest trip so far.

Is a £10k saving worth the risk of a possible very painful death?
Is a £10k saving worth a £20k fine? <linky>
Yes asbestos removal is expense, yes the profits are good, what cost is risk?

My local council pick it up and take, first x kg for free then after that you pay its not to expensive £200 a ton, same rules doubled bagged, damp etc. Mine is very low grade asbestos concrete lengths 100cm x 20cm wide, all are damp etc, I paid for asbestos survey as well got it checked to confirm its low grade. I will be wearing white suit and appropriate face mask etc. I'm not disagreeing its nasty stuff but it depends what type it is and condition. Asbestos removal people seem to see it as the worse stuff and charge that way, mine they wanted to put the whole house in some kind of tent thing, shower on site etc. I have scaffolding up around the whole house and to release each length its 2 screws to undo, double bag, pass down to the ground put on front drive for Monday pick up.

Heading off before dawn tommorrow into Snowdonia to get some photos where the missus will probably be snoring in the car, while I'll be trudging round wearing crampons hoping I don't stray from the path (or wander in the slaughtered lamb by mistake)

My dad died from Mesothelioma 30 years after dismantling a garage with an asbestos roof. It lies dormant for years.

Obviously, there were next to no regulations to do with the stuff back then.
