Correct! The transcoding necessary for digital TV transmissions means the time is never accurate, whereas in the analogue days it was only the latency of the cables in the studios and across London to the GPO Tower, and microwave distribution to the places that routed signals to transmitters (at light speed) that you had to considerOriginally posted by Coalman View PostBugger, must be a delay on the telly!
It's one of those tradeoffs: you want HDTV, you don't get RTTV as HD needs processing
