There are lots of people who want dogs but can't take care of them all the time.

Quite. I'll always have home based care for my son so figure the time is finally right. I really wouldn't like to be an irresponsible dog owner.

My last car was a CRV (05), bought a demonstrator and ran it for 10 years 120K miles, only ever replaced tyres and brakes. Same battery etc, nothing else just servicing. Utterly reliable, although it was thirsty.

It replaced a Civic Coupe, which also ran faultlessly for 10 years, and this year I have just replaced the CRV with a Civic (a lot less thirsty).

Well if you have had so much sucess with Honda's and like them, is an Accord Estate not an option? Sure they are a little bland but the boot is huge and they are pretty reliable.
