I think one of my comments was about not expecting the Guard to have a balanced article on immigration.

On CIF the British writers are from all sides of the political spectrum as they allow Tory MPs to write on an ad hoc basis. The in-house writers are the middle-class left-wing Oxbridge educated types with weird ideas on feminism. The US and Oz writers are all left wing.

Also you only allowed to be critical of the actual article not the Guard in general.

So if you had said instead "the author has a unbalanced view on immigration and every article they write is like that" you would have been fine.

I'm not entirely sure why I was banned, I was going to email them but it's clear free speech does not apply to the Guard comments section.
