    Firstly "Bump"

Secondly, have their local NHS trust / Council discussed if they are eligible for a personal budget instead of taking a residential placement? What I mean by this is that certain types of health care can get personal budgets, where the family get the money to spend on the child's care to meet their health outcomes rather than the conventional approach where the NHS/council hold and spend the money?

Might be a red herring but worth a thought in case it gets them funding they need?? I imagine it would be cheaper supporting them to provide the childs care rather than the NHS/council paying a residential home's bill...

    Thirdly, will donate later on...

A couple near us are trying to raise £50,000 to pay for equipment needed to care for their 4 year old son at home. He has cerebral palsy, and the alternative is that he ends up in a care home away from his family. The things they need include a specialised bed, a hoist, special bath etc. They have a Just Giving page set up but are still a long way from their target.

Even if you can only spare a couple of quid it would all help.
