Yes but they tend to be localised to one area or National Park, Chilterns, South Downs etc. I'm on about entire counties that are nothing but hills and mountains as far as the eye can see in every direction.Originally posted by SueEllen View PostThere are hills down South.

As a Northerner I tend to agree (in weather terms). Whenever I visit The South (towards East) I feel it starts to feel nicer just North of Cambridge. I used to think it was on average 5 degrees warmer but I think in reality it's about 2. But much less rain.
