That's why the Yank asked the Scotsman if they were the people who had sex with sheep. He was most impressed when he was told, "No that's Wales!". Then he asked who it was who had sex with sheep.

To be fair it pretty much is. I doubt most Americans (or other nationalities outside the rugby world) are really aware of the Welsh - they probably rank up their with Moldova in notoriety. No I like being part of the UK. I just like being Welsh as part of the UK and not English.Originally posted by SimonMac View PostIts not the English national anthem (ask what the English anthem is rather than the British and most will say Land Of Hope And Glory or Rule Britannia), its the Anthem of the United Kingdom, you might not like that you are part of the UK and thus Westminster centric, but you have to lump it as recent nationalist experiments have proven failures.

OK but its the one that they will be singing before England matches at the world cup.... No wonder the yanks think UK = England.Originally posted by GlenW View PostWrong again!
God Save The Queen is the national anthem for the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. England doesn't, officially, have its own national anthem.
Perhaps England should bugger off and get their own then..
