Tax is easy , 25% across the board over and above a basic threshold , more you earn the more you pay. All you have to do then is convince the government that they cant spend money they don't have , sorted

Tax reliefs are a bit of a bizarre area though.

Basically Margaret Hodge is to head a new cross party group focusing on 'responsible taxation'. She wants "parliament to play a key role in building and maintaining the fair, sustainable and transparent tax system that's needed to create growth and prosperity in the UK" The Group she's heading will be 'scrutinising tax reliefs'. The group she's heading was announced at a meeting of a 'responsible tax for the common purpose' project.

yeah but they had a tax allowance of £10,600 taxing everyone above £5000 that is going to be a bit much. It might pay for Corbyn's intentions though.

Isn't that enough She says in the article that the issue of who pays tax and how much they pay has really struck a chord with the Public - translated as the Government can now give themselves carte blanch to tulip about with the tax system without fear of a backlash from the voters. The fact that the group will be looking at tax reliefs would not suggest to me that they are planning more of them.
