somehow you don't come off as the animal welfare type. And BTW I don't see hordes of them complaining. That's cuz there is some evidence that slitting the throat IS the best way to slaughter an animal.
Why bash muslims only? why not also bash Jews. kabbala(?) and all the other bizzare cults which do weird things to animals just as a ritual.
Oh wait a minute..now that Labour and the media do it, it must be okay.
I can imagine the tourism ads .."Come to the UK for your Muslim bashing. Its all part of the fun in the UK..."Last edited by lilelvis2000; 13 October 2006, 14:04.

Seeing a picture of a burqa, I wonder whether it's legal to walk around town and into banks wearing a full NBC suit.
Mind you, you could have a crafty hand shandy under there and no-one would realise.

Some good points here
http://www.skidmore.edu/academics/ar.../finalveil.htm
I think however many muslims don't realise how unnerving many non muslims feel the veil is and worry about motives.

Easy.. if they want to wear veils, they submit to Smear Tests before entering any public place so there is a traceable record of their identity.
Doub't there is anything in the quran / koran / quorn about Smear Tests.
Obviously we need a national database of Smear Tests of Women Who Hide Their Faces.
Ask Wipro if they would develop one...
I'll allow other CUK members to suggest suitable tests for 'Hoodies'....

I don't wish to make the feminsts' jobs easier
however
I don't think that we have much to worry about young muslim women
Young british wearing hoodies have been banned from Bluewater though - and they are all black and white.

A b*gger to ID them on CCTV as well.
Imagine the anti-social behaviour problems if chavs could wander round in full hood balaclavas without being picked up by the cops ? Imagine the human rights issues if they let one group do this and not another ?

If you live in a country where the sun shines all the time then wearing clothes that completely cover the skin is actually quite sensible.
I don't think that it is necessary in Blackburn though.

It really is not a very serious issue, telling them what to wear offends against the principles of freedom we should be defending against Islam. So women are indoctrinated? gosh! not as though anyone else is brought up to believe in a certain way is is it?
More to the point we should be opposing assaults on free speech, the view that religion has any role to play in framing laws, belief in the barbarism of Shariah law, backward practices like arranged marriages, ritual mutilation of infants and slaughter of animals, and especially, we should be getting shot of the extremist Imams.
