Recent and current English team is the very definition of tulipe, the only reason it was qualifying is because it was super lucky to play dangerous teams like Andorra and some others, that's the only reason Roonie types could score 50 goals, if he wasn't such a tw@t he'd get less red cards and score 100 by now - does not mean jack tulip really.

They play like five times more games than the glory days....
Nat Lofthouse, 33 games for England, 30 goals. Any better ratio? Maybe, but not many...
Obvs I'm Bolton born and bred, met the guy a few times, a true gent, lovely bloke...
My dad told me Nat once kind of hid his hand behind his head in diving header other side from ref. and bagged by punching it in. I met Nat in Bolton about 1983 ish in a pub in Halliwell, Bolton and asked him about it - he remembered it well and said he did do it and he did get away with it. Old days, honour and all that, but a goal is still a goal so fook it even then....
Still got a signed copy of his book - Goals Galore somewhere......

San Marino. PenaltyOriginally posted by original PM View PostLove him or loathe him.
That's a great record.
Take a bow son.
Switzerland. Penalty
If you did a proper analysis of quality vs quantity vs 'It's Wayne's go'.
I could have scored 10 goals if I took all the penalties as well!
Lame.
