If you read peoples experiences on here, it could be longer than a week.

I have never taken it, yet strangely, have had to listen to a number of people that have, moan because they feel so rough after.

Anyway, absolute "bollox" it will make you ill, in any case .

Think it's random, one year I had that, the next year nothing.

One year I made the mistake of having it done in ASDA cos I was shopping and I heard it on the speakers that they could do them as you shop, and it was this shifty looking doctor in a cluttered storeroom who looked terrified. Boots all the way!

OTOH if the vaccine makes him that bad, what would the disease do?

My dad was ill for a week the last time he had it, so I don't bother. I work from home, so I can crawl upstairs to log in and log onto CUK, no matter how ill I am

The reason the stock is fresh every year is that it's a different vaccine every year, because flu mutates all the time. So one point there, even if you rather missed the point.

And given that people being ill costs the NHS money, I doubt they'd keep on recommending it if it made people ill for months.

But if you have solid evidence that the vaccine is causing adverse medical consequences that outweigh the benefits, you really should be writing up your data and submitting your findings to the British Medical Journal ASAP.
Agree. Complete bollox that it causes flu. Yes it mutates all the time and you can still maybe get one thats not covered.

But for £10 surely its worth it to protect against even one type?

    Really?

I think you should reconsider, consider the following:-

    Its free.
The government recommends you take it.
    Nicks mother helped develop it.

    What you waiting for

Slightly worse with the Swine flu jabs as this can cause adverse effects.

Anyway, like anything else concerned with government, I'm sure they know what they are doing.

Well, "fresh" or not, last year it provided 3% protection so I'm guessing you must consider it well worth it.
Oh, hang on you get it for free

Flu vaccine gives only Low Protection

I know at least 6 people that were ill after taking it last year, medical evidence, writing to medical journals, no, of course not.

If you want to have blind faith in what our govenment recommends for your health, go right ahead, although I suggest it is you who has "missed the point".
