Cougettes.
Carrots do not belong in lasagne. Nor does any tuber like root vegetable in my opinion.
I was actually served up a dish of lasagne recently that contained sweet potato. Sweet potato, for heavens sake!
Mind you, the cloying wholemeal pasta that laminated the dish was equally unappealing.
