I've known the dealer principal in Glasgow Bentley for years, and once bought a used 745i from him that someone had traded in for Conti GT. He likes to organise an annual jolly for customers to the motor show (pay your own flights and hotels, but 40 quid on EasyJet is bearable) and he covers transport to and from the airports, show tickets and all access passes for all the big players.

As I bought a Bentley coffee mug last year I technically count as a customer

All access passes are definitely the way to go - most of the big boys have cars away from the public gaze in their hospitality areas. Free reign to browse as you sip the complimentary champers and munch the horses doovers.

    Absolutely brilliant day out.

    TFA!

Friday afternoon flew to Geveva to do some serious gin drinking, followed by a day at the Geneva motor show courtesy of Bentley Motors, backstage and hospitality from all the big players, flew home last night and this afternoon I will be cooking tonight's dinner for my maw coming over.

Installing Developer edition of SAP HANA on AWS and it is a real, complete, utter, sheer, winky, twitty and tulipty pain in the arse.

Guess I will spend the day in front of the PC

    Is that a euphemism?

    And you?
I've driven from Land's End to John O'Groats over the last 24 hours

Took 8 hours to get from Cambridge to Devon on friday, on account of some old timer having a turn at the wheel (physically and metaphorically) which closed the M4

Then driving for another 8 hours yesterday, to visit the aged Ps

God knows how people like taxi drivers and truckers drive for hours every day.

Travelled back from boys' ski trip in Italy with Junior to find my lovely wife had given her mother a Mother's Day gift of ME doing her mum's garden.

She's a wily fox, my missus. Vengeance being a dish best served cold, and all that.

Well we love it, loads of interesting stuff to look at loads of interesting companies/universities/projects and lots of free pens!
My daughter really looks forward to it (shes 14) and she feels at home there - she's an aspie science geek.
There are shows and demos too, but we usually forget to go to those

    Hope you enjoy it
