Income tax to double...
SNP plans
Increasingly I don't really care, my income is from England and my only liability from this is my house price which I can cover with ease.

Mind you the UK is not a net contributor to the UK, we are just a bit worse than the average.Originally posted by Ticktock View PostBut still, Scotland is not a net contributor to the UK, so you can stop spinning that line

I have met Sturgeon on numerous occasions, in fact the whole family know her quite well and she has been round my folk's house for dinner on occasion, as a person she is likeable so I am not one to slag her off without reason.Originally posted by Batcher View PostPure rubbish as usual for the anti-Scottish whiner.
If she was looking at a folder it's because she is getting asked questions that she needs to make sure she is giving accurate answers. She wipes the floor with The Dug every week.
She can't debate.

I have to agree on the point that I have no problem with people reading facts rather than showing they remember everything - being in touch with your responsibilities doesn't mean having a photographic memory.

Pure rubbish as usual for the anti-Scottish whiner.Originally posted by minestrone View Post400 more per head. That will drop to -700 next year. So nearly 2000 grand per person down.
It is frightening that their no realisation of this.
The SNPs standard response now is to say "if we had more powers".
I watched FMQs on Wednesday, Sturgeon was embarrassingly bad, she has this massive folder and reads direct from it, looks up at the end of every sentence. If you are bored check it out in iplayer.

I think that is aimed at the Labour MPs who have voted to support whatever the whip tells them to in Westminster, including Tam Dalyell who raised the question named after his constituancy as he was MP for West Lothian at the time. The SNP have never voted on English matters as a point of principle, just as they have refused to take a seat in the Lords or accept any of the trinkets Her Maj passes out.Originally posted by vetran View PostI think you will find the attitude is that MP's in devolved areas shouldn't vote on things that don't affect them, seems reasonable to me. Something your MPs have singularly failed to address despite the West Lothian question being asked in 1977, you would have thought after years of being ruled by foreign politicians they would want to fix it quick.
You are the ones who decided to stay in the union, we weren't asked. If we had been you would probably be feeling the door hit you in the arse on the way out. Many people are fed up subsidising you and then listening to you moaning.
As has been pointed out many times, we are not subsidised. We contribute more than we take out.

If that's meant to make us feel part of the union then it's clearly not working.
This won't be forgotten if we get another indyref and a lot of Nos will vote Yes next time.
