don't believe the smug "British TV is the best in the world" pumped out by the British media - the others are bad but Britain's is just as bad.

British TV is appalling. Fortunately I have Sky, so there's no need to ever see any of it.

We have 1 TV, no satellite & I took the aerial down as pigeons were using for latrine duty.

I doubt many people have a satellite.

I'm pretty sure if I had no TV I wouldn't think "hey, I'll go for a run". I'd just do something else to relax like read or play video games, or play darts in the garage.

It's been a little over a year since I got rid of the TV. I can still watch TV via a browser because the service is still there but I've found I never use it. This is partly because the streaming service is hopelessly unreliable but also because there is nothing worth watching. I really find it hard to understand how anyone can spend an entire in evening slumped in front of the box. I've got hundreds of channels from the UK, Germany, Switzerland and France and they're all equally devoid of entertainment and don't believe the smug "British TV is the best in the world" pumped out by the British media - the others are bad but Britain's is just as bad. Well, to be fair, perhaps not quite as bad as Germany's - that is pretty awful.

My box-set collection has grown a bit and I'm allowing myself to read crappier books than I used to so I'm not spending my newly liberated time on massively intellectual pursuits or exciting new health regimes. It's more about no longer plumbing the depths of moronity that is the average evening's TV schedule.

Just had an interview for a TV company, quite ironic.

Bought a house last year, they had a TV in EVERY ROOM, even imbedded in the wall in the bathroom.

We watch 1 episode of whatever series we are streaming at the time (currently Grimm, its good) & a movie on Friday.

I don’t think I have watched “live” TV in about 4 years.

Far too many other things to do with the time.
