Previously on "Who are these people who invoice 3K per day?"
Not surprised - It's a pretty specialised area, as there isn't much commercial demand for philosophers who specialise in the study and contemplation of the nature of existence.
Actually, he is working on a Linked Data model with Triple stores and RDFisation...
but yes, it is a specialised area in high demand in a lot of places...lucky sod!
One gets paid loads to off-shore and the other gets paid loads to fix his mate's **** ups.
Exactly what we all said. One gets the gig by showing how he brought down costs by offshoring at previous businesses then the mate goes in and shows how he recovered the business when it had a bad rep.
The IT director at British Gas was a contractor on £2k per day (not sure if he is still there). His main purpose seemed to be to get rid of as many contractors as possible and offshore the work.
He was previously at Talk Talk and did the same thing there. They are still trying to recover and were voted worst for customer service for 2 years running. His mate got the gig after him and set about onshoring to try and fix the problems. I'm expecting BG to do the same when he goes.
What a great job.

Ontologist at this gig invoices for more than £3k per day (he is also on multiple contracts)
