In this case, were it not for the current uproar, his visit might have gone unnoticed. So the current protest is probably not the best way forward.
I doubt the weak minds of students at Oxford will be taken in. Its nice to see a white racist getting some stick reminds us its not just men in mosques who are whipping up hatred.

Is he? He supposedly left the EDL because of the way of the way it was attracting too many violent right wingers rather than opposing Islamist views.
Islamism in the West should be opposed. It is contrary to every enlightened attitude - rational law, equality, democracy, freedom of choice, that we have been working our way towards for centuries.
Only now does the government seem to be taking the issue seriously. If they had taken action earlier instead of ignoring the problem the EDL would probably never have formed.
