Previously on "Is it okay for women to punch their boyfriends?"
When questioned by police later you should use the following line "I used as much force as was necessary to protect myself and those I am responsible for."
the police ??
Real men just leg it, rather than being worried they'll lose face. Or, don't get in these situations to begin with.
When questioned by police later you should use the following line "I used as much force as was necessary to protect myself and those I am responsible for."
The police then beat you up, throw you in the cells and say "We used as much force as was necessary to make an arrest".

yes but if you spent 20 minutes hitting him with the soggy end of his detached arm they don't seem to believe it.
My personal rule is that if someone is going to assault me (or someone I am protecting) and I cannot negotiate or escape then I will render them physically incapable of carrying the assault out. That might mean pushing them over and walking away or it might mean wrapping a steel bar around their head it depends on what it takes to make them stop. As far as I am concerned it is their fault for putting me in that position. I do not care about race, gender, sexual orientation etc.

true. It's not a fashionable or macho thing to say, but if I ever felt threatened by a bird, or a 14 year old lad, I would drop them. It's never happened to me so far
hopefully never will.
But anyone who thinks it cant ever happen has to take responsibility if they get suckered
Ghost whisperers like yourself might not like the idea of self ownership and rational egoism, but real men like myself don't let silly ideas of chivalry and male disposability see ourselves hospitalised if we can avoid it.

Like the cell-block scene in Silence of the Lambs?
What a surprise. Not.
