I recal shooting 9mm full auto sten guns with the Army Cadets aged 13 - is that also too young ? ( I loved it!)
Also remember shooting a .22 rifle round off while still prone in firing position at the barracks shooting range while one of the cadets was changing targets ( I thought the rifle was empty and was playing with the trigger m'lud)
Plus first time firing of a 9mm pistol the recoil took the pistol up & behind my head (instructor had a few choice words about that)

The Bush government made it even worse, and made it law that retailers had to destroy the records of people buying guns after a short time period, because it infringed their rights.
I remember someone near where I lived buying an M16 and shooting a few people at the shopping mall. The security check involved them having to tick a box that said "are you (or have you ever been) diagnosed as mentally unstable?". Because they left it blank, they were allowed to buy the gun and go a-killin'.

Darwin award
Giving a 9 year old girl a fully automatic weapon should meet the stupidity level required for a Darwin Award nomination - and unfortunately he has now satisfied the other criteria.

Feel sorry for the girl though - probably pushed into it through peer pressure - and now has to live with having killed someone.Tags: None
