    Only in America

The Tampa Police Department called on their bomb squad this morning after finding a several weapons inside a Jeep near the University of South Florida main campus. http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/clip/10...ime-arrest-6pm

According to preliminary information from TPD, a National Guardsman identified as 29-year-old Clay Sidney Allred, fired an AK-47-style rifle several times outside of the Mobil gas station at North 30th Street and East Fowler Avenue after getting into an argument with a clerk inside the store.

I recal shooting 9mm full auto sten guns with the Army Cadets aged 13 - is that also too young ? ( I loved it!)

Also remember shooting a .22 rifle round off while still prone in firing position at the barracks shooting range while one of the cadets was changing targets ( I thought the rifle was empty and was playing with the trigger m'lud)

Plus first time firing of a 9mm pistol the recoil took the pistol up & behind my head (instructor had a few choice words about that)

The gun lobby would argue that guns don't kill people, sweet little 9-year-old girls kill people.

It's based on a very flawed misunderstanding of the second amendment. Even Richard Nixon's attorney general (I forget the name) said that the gun lobby was absolutely wrong, and given he was one of the most right wing AGs in American history.

The Bush government made it even worse, and made it law that retailers had to destroy the records of people buying guns after a short time period, because it infringed their rights.

I remember someone near where I lived buying an M16 and shooting a few people at the shopping mall. The security check involved them having to tick a box that said "are you (or have you ever been) diagnosed as mentally unstable?". Because they left it blank, they were allowed to buy the gun and go a-killin'.

If only she'd been properly instructed in the use of an Uzi Sub Machine Gun at aged 8, this tragedy would never have happened.

So too anyone else who has seen the report.

They should have showed the whole video on news reports so no one was left in any doubt of the stupidity!

Shocking moment girl aged 9 kills shooting instructor during lesson with an Uzi submachine gun - Mirror Online

The range is popular with tourists and advertises “Burgers and Bullets” day. This includes lunch and a choice of more than 20 automatic weapons to shoot with.
Shooting automatic weapons isn't a ****ing kids' party game.

    Darwin award

Giving a 9 year old girl a fully automatic weapon should meet the stupidity level required for a Darwin Award nomination - and unfortunately he has now satisfied the other criteria.

Girl, 9, accidentally kills shooting instructor when sub machine gun recoils in her hands - Mirror Online

Feel sorry for the girl though - probably pushed into it through peer pressure - and now has to live with having killed someone.
