From what I have heard hard work is a very good therapy for many conditions.Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostOnly ONE mental health condition? He's a fooking fruitcake. Physically strong enough to work though.

Mark Bardsley, the 34-year-old 'star' of the TV show Wife Swap, is a classic example of the financial benefits of being mentally unfit to work.
He, his wife Lizzie, and their eight children gained fleeting notoriety last year when they were revealed to be pulling in a total of £37,400 a year in State handouts.
Of this £4,446 is paid to Mr Bardsley in incapacity benefit for stress and depression he claimed was triggered by the death of his father six years ago.
His resulting "fragile mental condition" supposedly meant he had been unable to work full
time since. However, after Channel 4 showed the programme last October. it was claimed that he had boosted his income by working as a handyman on the black economy.
Former clients recalled how the shaven- headed, heavy smoker worked for them as a painter and decorator, and how he liked to be paid cash in hand.

I remember a neighbour back in England many years ago who was on disability and unemployment benefits for a long time and watching him lift an engine out of a car (a Maxi to be precise) which surprised me, nearly as much as it surprised me when he bought his council house!Originally posted by Mich the Tester View PostOnly ONE mental health condition?
