    This has always been the case. It's doesn't mean that renting in London is cheap, but everything has a limit and generally speaking most of those renting are not very highly paid professionals, rich Chinese or Russian Oligarchs.

    But those buying are the very highly paid professionals, rich Chinese or Russian Oligarchs.

    And the reason for them buying is not for rental yield, but for capital growth, for which London has proven prime time and time again.
