Interesting story for the BTL Investor - The average rental yield in quarter two this year stood at 6.2% while rental yields in London produced a lower return of 5.7%.

This has always been the case. It's doesn't mean that renting in London is cheap, but everything has a limit and generally speaking most of those renting are not very highly paid professionals, rich Chinese or Russian Oligarchs.

But those buying are the very highly paid professionals, rich Chinese or Russian Oligarchs.

And the reason for them buying is not for rental yield, but for capital growth, for which London has proven prime time and time again.
