Good decision, it's not the agency that's the problem, it's the client. If this is a big investment bank then it's a potential client for the rest of your contracting career,
Contracts only last 3 or 6 months after that you have to find a new one, that is when you might need that big client you p***ed off the last time.
After signing stick to your guns, a completely different matter if you're going for a permie role but not something you should do contracting.
As a contractor you have to think of your "client base".
Had flown in Business Class to Bangalore yesterday, nice modern sophisticated and highly professional Bangalore airport, security seems bit more tighter, complimentary car from hotel was waiting outside the exit, the airport expressway is six lane with beautiful professionally maintained gardens in both side...closing to city country roads and inside city roads are good but traffic is too much. Hotel is again modern, high standard...food is great...office is just 10 mins walk...people are friendly and helpful. Office infrastructure is very good, security is very tight and professional. The Indian project manager has a large 4*4 Audi, merc, BMW all around...it does not seem a Third World Country any more... lol
Yes have spoken to 2nd agency in the morning. What she said that she is chasing client for approved work order, there is no assurance whether the work order will come today or sometimes this week.
So it seems there is no point to join this waiting game. If the second one come through eventually at some stage which is definitely more attractive (in respect to working local and chances of extension), I will assess the situation at that time and make the right decision.

I am doing the right thing what I should do. I have sent the Travel form to 1st client, all set to finish the current one in Friday and join the 1st one in Monday, may have to travel to Bangalore in early next week. The family is not happy but that is all come with contracting...

Yes I have put notice to current contract. The 1st one is insisting to fill up the travel form for buying air tickets, hotel booking etc. I have bought some time from the 1st agency till end of tomorrow.
Have told the second agency to speed up the client approval process if they could release the offer ideally by end of tomorrow.
The 2nd one has good chance to extend for a year or even more, the 1st one scope of work is not 100% clear.
I am preferably still willing to take the 2nd one as that role excites me more.
The end clients of both contracts are giants in their respective sector. The 2nd one is directly with the end client, the 1st one is through a consultancy. I am hoping if I turn down the 1st one eventually the end client should not black me out. However I am OK if the medium size consultancy does not offer role in same project in future. The agency involved for the 1st one is owned by the consultancy so basically the 1st one is contracted directly for the consultancy. However in paper it appears there is agency in middle, in reality the 1st one agency owned by the consultancy. So I am assuming they will have less impact outside the consultancy they work for.
My area is niche skills, very less in offshore and not much in Europe too but flourishing in America rapidly.
