    I have this frequent experience whereby agents will consume a quarter-hour of my time's discussing a putative contract; they will then end the conversation saying that they will forward me the job specs, pronto. That's the last I ever hear from them - and I never get the job specs, natch.

    An agent from ?untress called me about a putative contract at a well-known news publishing organization. He got very annoyed when I inquired about working for an hourly rate. His promise to E-mail me his confirmation-acceptance form sadly was a lie and I never got it.
