I did think it may be fixed term but it wasn't implied in the advert or job spec at all. The implication was that it was with the bank.

I think you might be right though. I'll see if I get the job and then ask the pimp.

Either that or RS want you as their consultant going to various clients (but I still reckon its a FTC).

started a topic Perm job through Resource Solutions

    Perm job through Resource Solutions

I've been contracting for a few years but for various reasons have been thinking about going back to the dark side should the right opportunity come up

A role has come up on Jobserve with an investment bank and I duly applied. The agency is Resource Solutions who appear to be on-site recruiters at the client (e.g. their emails addresses are clientco email addresses).

Anyway, the pimp sent me the job spec but at the bottom were a couple of lines stating that the contract of employment would be through Resource SOlutions and not connected to the bank in any way.

As a temporary contractor that would be normal but as a would-be permie it makes me somewhat nervous. If an offer is forthcoming then I'll obviously talk to the agent about what this all means but I think he'll say it's all perfectly OK. I wondered if any of you had any experience of working this way or any other comments.

Working...
