But pisses me off when a fellow contractor plays the game and tries to make themselves look good in front of client to others detriment. Unfortunately, the bob variety seem very anxious to ensure they look good and to be fair, they are very good at it - better than me.
But its different being a contractor. Client generally does not want to hear the whinging about others.

Alas a stroppy guy at ClientCo was the straw that finally made me reject an extension, even though I was told by several people they would look away while I hit them with a shovel if it meant I stay, long and short is I moved into contracting for the flexibility, I have made a lot of money being here for 11 months so I don't need to put up with arsey people if I don't want to, I will stay professional to the end but in the end I look after me and me alone.

I did some research on the internet and there are just people out there who are argumentative for no good reason. It's not you, the rest of the team, it's just him. In the end he was made to work from home and when his contract was up and the work done he was shown the door.
Much as you want to don't lose your temper with him, I did with this geezer and threatened him - spoilt my weekend.
But like you said, no-one likes a contractor who whines about others eithers so I'm aware of this.
