I am sure I never started that one but got pinned with it.. Very odd..Originally posted by Boo View PostBecause you only ever post to the effect that people should not post here ! The reason varies slightly but the result is always the same : "do a search", "if you have to ask that you're not cut out to be a contractor", etc etc.
If you don't want to answer newbie questions you're not obliged to reply to them, if you do choose to reply why not be helpful ? I was far more interested in the OP's question than in your crass reply then self-justification in this thread. I repeat : take a break, or take a chill pill.
Sorry, but...

Repeat away

That is quite correct and why there is a sticky at the top of the FAQ page advising this. It also advises you to search in an individual area.. i.e.Originally posted by topper View PostTo be fair the search function on here is pants! I've never found anything through it, always had to run it through google with site:forums.contractoruk.com
site:forums.contractoruk.com/accounting-legal/ so it only searches in the most relevant areas...
Link to the sticky is...

Coming to searching the forum, I've tried searching with some keywords...it didnt work. If you find some relevant posts, please post a link. I'll be thankful!

To me that is pretty good advice and doesn't need a chill pill at all. It is a lazy post wanting to been spoon fed an answer. THe OP is well known for this so I would say my advice is pretty spot on ...this time <cough>

Whilst we've had plenty of questions anwered on just about every subject/situation I agree a search is usually a good course of action and would have resolved this particular query.Originally posted by northernladuk View PostPlease do a search.
We have had plenty of questions about company A funding company B and so on....
However, the rules and legislation can and do change from time to time so something that was correct 6 months ago isn't necessarily correct or the best thing to do today. So maybe searching isn't all that relevant for every single thing.
