If you are not incorporated as a Limited Company then you cannot opt out so it's irrelevant. Might be worth reading the sticky anyway....

There are several different contracts that exist within a contractor/agency/umbrella company/client relationship. You should have received a contract of employment from your umbrella company that you will need to sign. They will then sign a business to business contract with the agency offering the assignment and the agency, in turn, has a business to business contract with the client for whom you will be working.

In this situation the chain of "employment" runs you->umbrella->agent-> clientco.

Your contract I presume will be with the umbrella.

I don't have a clueb but shouldn't this be something you discussed with your Umbrella when you signed with them? Might have been prudent to find out how the service yu have signed up for works no?

I do agree except I had thirty mins to sign up and decide. I'll give them a call tomorrow

Ok, got my first contract. Great. The agency has sent me the contract, however it's addressed to my umbrella company (I asked for a copy). I understand they sign certain things and return them but does this mean that I then take the bits I want to sign and send them to the agency, or do I await an actual contract from my umbrella company to sign and return?
