    yep 3 quid per h not per day, unlimited over time available... around 4500-6000 difference in the year, long engineering project so it may last alot longer.

    as for rate agreement, this should be sorted after interview and on contract offer, turns out the role A with less money is the more... senior and intense of the two... so it may be good to get some more experience but then that oportunity will more than likely come again in the year with the other rate... I'll leave it to client.

    Tell them (and the client) what you want to do and then stand back while they sort it out. It's probably going to be a mild irritation for the client but they understand that tulip like this happens sometimes.

Surely there is something more tangible to help you make a decision, skills required, possibility of breaking in to new skills, more interesting role etc etc... I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill if matching rates is high on your agenda.

    Why not forget the three quid, chat the client and ask them what role would help them best, maybe one is urgent, the other is just warming up, role A might have a second choice where for role B you are the only one. Giving the client the choice might give you brownie points in the long run rather than worrying over £3? If you don't mind role A then go with the flow. It is an unfortunate situation but but the client is on the case for you.

    You agreed a rate with the agent and that's what you get, doesn't really matter how the manager deploys you. I think you'll find the difference in the rate is probably the margin anyway.

    started a topic blimey to at once... same manager?

    got a role agreed two months ago with agent A but it fell through, in meantime applied for another role with agent B (3 quid up to A), she said should hear next week... check cert etc, then I get a call from agent A again saying they still want me but a new role than before an interview on friday and same money. On way to interview agent B rings to say I have the job they like CV etc. Have interview and monday am told I have this offer to, lucks in, I take agent B offer (3 quid up) and tell agent A sorry... but turns out the two roles are in the same group and the manager thought I was starting with agent A as they had told him I'm good to go. I think the manager is trying to talk to the others as to what role I should take even though I've made it clear I want agent B role ( i beleive he wants me for the agent A role more)... agent A role is still good but 3 quid less if they can match I'll be happy but this role is through an agent, through a service company then the client and I dont think they can match... to many pigs feeding out the same pot! any thoughts on how to tackle I dont want to p*ss of client co.
