    Yeah - the exam.
LoL. I always love the idea that you need a reactive day-by-day session to identify and work out how to remove any blocks to progress. Doesn't really align to the concept of "planning", does it...?

At this point, there is no formal exam... it is a self assessment given to those that have taken the CSM class and have been registered as doing so on the Scrum Alliance website. The completion of the two days is really only part of a journey of learning more. It is more than a piece of paper (or a PDF).

There are competing certifications and assessments out there (not just from the Scrum Alliance). Look around!

I do know it took way longer than 10 people sitting around a table creating the assessment (I was not involved).

I'll be there starting Sunday afternoon -- if anyone would like to get together please contact me (see the sites below) and I'd love to talk more about this topic.

Er, sounds like it should be called ScamMaster.

I've done this. I'm afraid you have to take the training - it's all about income...

After the training you get a link to a website to take the test. It could be anyone taking it. But then seeing as a four year old could pass it I guess that doesn't matter.

    The rules look clear cut

    Scrum Alliance - Certified ScrumMaster

Currently, an individual is certified when he or she has attended, participated in, and completed a Certified ScrumMaster course. If the trainer has opted you in for the CSM exam, you must complete and pass the exam to completed the certification process.

started a topic Scrum Master Examination

    Scrum Master Examination

Has anyone done just the exam without having to fork out for expensive training?

I quite like the idea of doing this and Prince2 - I know prince 2 can be done as the exam itself

Has anyone done the Scrum exam without the training

Working...
