Thanks all for the responses, I may well have found the person for the job, but the opportunity's still open until first thing Monday, from which time this thread can be considered closed.
And no, Bob hasn't made it through, sorry. You'll have to get that tenner by some other means.

There are loads of good job sites with search mechanisms and alerts and stuff whereas a forum is a very poor job engine.
BUT I think what administrator said is spot on. It's a bit of payback for the regular posters and a chance to get agency-free gigs from 'known' sources.

Hi - would you like to advertise this through our agency, we have an extensive database of specialisty UI designers from 2- 10 yrs experience.Originally posted by realityhack View PostFirstly - NO AGENCIES.
Secondly - Damn fine UI designer required:
Know what dashboard development is? Designed low-mid-fi prototypes for high-profile enterprise web apps before? Can you provide relevant, high quality examples of your work? Worked beyond conventional design patterns?
PM me the link to your portfolio, with an idea of your availability and expected rate for a 3 monther. Amateurs and blaggers need not bother.
Thirdly - NO AGENCIES.
Thank you.

Sorry, who are you?Originally posted by larson View PostNobody else getting a bit sick of these random advertisements here? Seems like a new thing.
Not sure about this; maybe we can have a dedicated section, admin?
It just seems like it may start in good faith and end up with agents and chancers posting up false rubbish to get details. Least of all it's not really a question about contracts, more trying to get free talent without bothering to use the standard routes.

Am considering a contracts section but this will bring more recruiters out of the wood work and I am not sure we want that. At the minute I am happy for trusted users to post jobs on here to help them out but if this was open to all it would increase agents on here fishing for details and could be a PITA.
Again, I am happy for regulars to post jobs on here to help them out. If there are regular job posters here who are agents or post false jobs then let me know and will happily ban them.
