All of the above of course!! nothing stopping you from accepting the extension, negotiating a higher rate, and in the same time look for something else!!Originally posted by DocP View PostCurrent contract expires in Nov. Just been offered an extension till Dec 4th.
Do I
- look for something else ?
- Up my rate to cover the downtime ?
- or be grateful and accept ?

Thank god for TheFaQQer giving sensible factual answers to stupid f***ing questions most other people will just take the piss out of.
How the hell are we supposed to make a sensible sugestion based on all the facts and the situation from a 4 line question. All the people that actually post a suggestion will just be doing it on pure guess work so will be worthless to you.

Personally I would take option 4.
4. Decline on principle that they will be ruining your xmas and walk with your head held high.

Are you enjoying the work? Do you think that you will get into a new contract soon? Do you need the money?
Only after answering those three can you really know what the best choice to take is.
