    Google already has my country set to USA, and if I search on Google.com I still get about 50% of results as .co.uk, and the rest take me to sites showing UK jobs.
    JobServe lets me specify where to look, but I can't even find what the big recruitment portals ARE in the US or elsewhere... I assume that there are big portals local to each country.

    Finding work abroad

    I'm finding Google is really unhelpful trying to find sources of contracting work outside the UK. It insists on returning .co.uk websites even if I use the global google.com site... is this Google trying to be clever?

    Since I work remotely, I'm happy to work with people anywhere they speak English and it would seem sensible to contact recruiters in those countries directly, rather than wait for the odd overseas job that comes up on CWJobs et al.

    Can anyone suggest what I should be searching for, or how I can coerce Google into doing what I want?
