I always put the company names for my previous roles, I don't put my current role in there though, just incase the agent has a foothold in there

When hiring, I react negatively to a CV which uses such terms. I expect to see the names of the former clients.

Old style permie employment CVs always had 2 or 3 references at the bottom, but contractor CVs which will be shared around the job boards should never have these contact details on.
